Day 2: Kafue River BLD

Have a hearty breakfast at the lodge. We’ll then transfer you by boat to the “launch spot” at a pontoon South of Mukambi lodge. After a full safety briefing has been given, you’ll head off on the rafts.

“Let yourself be guided down this divine stretch of river by our qualified rangers”

Lunch will be on the banks of the river and after a day on river we arrive at our camp before sunset. Our staff will have setup camp prior to your arrival and be preparing dinner whilst you………..  simply stretch, relax and enjoy the beauty of the African sky. You’ll spend the second night in the tented camp, situated in the game reserve, along the Kafue riverbank.

Day 3: Kafue River B.L.D

By the third day you and your “paddle-mate” are familiar with your canoe, affording you time to enjoy the tranquil surroundings, observe birdlife and wildlife in abundance, observing hippo’s and crocodiles at eye level, with the occasional Elephant venturing across the river ahead.

A game walk in the afternoon will give you a chance to view different forms of wildlife, with your qualified guide teaching you a thing or two about this truly majestic region which we often neglect to appreciate in it’s entirety.

After sun downers it is time to reflect on what you have learnt and experienced on our wet & wild adventure. You’ll spend the third night in the tented camp, situated in the game reserve, along the Kafue riverbank further down the river.

Day 4: Kafue River B.L.D

Time for a little action! After breakfast you will be anxious to climb into your canoe, as the rapids ahead will prove to shake and excite the faint hearted.

Enjoy lunch on a riverbank, followed by the last two hours of canoe-bound pleasure, before bidding your craft farewell. You will be met at sunset for a final game drive and transfer to Kaingu Lodge, situated along the riverbank in the Kafue Game Management Area. Relax and unwind with a drink, sharing laughter and memories before enjoying your last dinner at the lodge. You’ll spend your fourth and final night sleeping peacefully in a luxury tent at Kaingu Safari Lodge.
